About the Choreographers Without Companies/Aronoff Performance:
Your and Bonia's dancing, music and reciting was marvelous! I was deeply
touched by the scenery, motion, symbols, heavenly music all together in the
great tapestry of human triumph and tragedy. You touched the deep feeling
of humanity in all of us.

Beautiful, Beautiful, Fabulous - Wonderful - Inspiring and Awesome!!! -- John B.
Of many breathtaking moments..
Moment One - Michelle 'flying/swimming' above the dusty hills of Spain was really something...a grand illusion...dreamlike yet earthy
Moment Two - when Renee, Chad and Michelle BURST out of the brown Earth and come forward just as the joyous and triumphant final music begins..
Moment Two and a Half.....then when all are waving the tabards in the air, I could barely breathe!
OK Moment Three - the swirling dervishes of capes, no one bumping into another (wow!) and going lower and lower....ripping the capes off..gasp!....those sideways slides...shiver....the witnesses 'serving' so beautifully and seamlessly....the company entering from the wings clapping....

Fanchon Shur's genius work as Choreographer, once again raised the bar for higher expectations in Cincinnati's dance community. Most importantly, her work universally raised the bar for Christians, Muslims and Jews to unite in harmony.

I saw "All that Breathes" Friday evening, and I'm still reeling from it. WOW--it was so incredibly beautiful.
-- Terry
One of my dear friends Ushered on Saturday evening. She and the other ushers told me that the show was great and they thought that the last piece was spectacular. I consider that a very high complement coming from people who see a dozen of shows every year.

Beautiful, powerful and unique!

About the Hebrew Union College Performance:
WOW....WOW...WOW.... I am still on top of the world from watching such
an amazing "sneak Peek" of All that Breathes this morning! Fabulous
performance....you captivated and demanded everyone's attention in the
room. You could feel the positive energy, love and unity surround us.
BRAVO!!!
-- Michelle
This was a most beautiful use of movement and joy and symbols and
symbolism and music and fabric and vision; really compact and intense.
No time to lose the moment(s) created. It was a saturation of such
complex physical beauty with equally gorgeous music and was amazing in
its unpresumptuousness (Is that even a word? ah well, you know what I
mean). What a treasure. I am so looking forward to experiencing it
again. I really felt like flying afterwards. Such a release. So hopeful.

From the Dancers/Witnesses:
Joining the "All That Breathes" cast allows me the opportunity to work with one of the purest and most organically centered choreographers in the greater Cincinnati area. It also gives me a strong and supportive community of dancers and friends that are wonderful to work with. The movement gives me a comfort in that it has purpose, focus, and beauty.

Fanchon Shur’s piece “All That Breathes”, is like her previous work “Vibrant Soul”, a celebration of life. While “Vibrant Soul” celebrated the life of community, “All That Breathes” celebrates the moments when life, in all its chaos and messiness, reveals and is recognized for its beauty. This piece is about the transformation of life into art - not an everyday occurrence - but something that comes at those rare serendipitous times when both circumstance and intention converge to create gold. In “All That Breathes”, eleventh and twelfth century Spain is celebrated as an example of such alchemy. It was a “golden age” when people of diverse culture, religion and language not only peacefully coexisted, but flourished…

(It was an honor)… to share that with the audience in a way that seems to have enriched their lives in some small way.

Congratulations Fanchon, this is extremely exciting. I feel so lucky to be part of such a deep, collaborative and wonderful piece that you have created.
