Bonia Shur Tribute Concert
Fanchon Shur invites you to an extraordinary, once in a lifetime experience.
Over 40 cantors and many instrumentalists are coming from all over the country to perform the music of Bonia Shur, her beloved partner.
Bonia has produced music to make us quiver, cry, and become more than we were before; for 37 years, Bonia has done this in Cincinnati, as Director of Liturgical Arts at Hebrew Union College. From his vast outpouring, both well-known and lesser known masterpieces will be performed, conducted by his successor, Cantor Yvon Shore.

Change in Motion
Fanchon speaks: "When you want to be a force for change, we usually think, 'Vote. Protest. March. Canvas neighborhoods.' But the heart and body yearn to express our longing for social justice. Thus, we created Change in Motion with choreography for totally non-dancers as well as dancers with experience that gives us a dance form for our passion, our commitment, our sense of hope that change can be affected. Be the change you want to see in the world. Simple gestures and rhythms interact between all individuals. We are all in this together. Come join us!"

Workshop at the Body-Mind Centering Conference
Fanchon is leading a workshop at the 26th Annual Body-Mind Centering Conference, which has a theme this year of "Exploring Our Somatic Roots." Fanchon's workshop is called "Prayer, Performance, Community - Tallit: Prayer Shawl."
Pure Movement Classes
These classes strengthen our individual resolve so that we resonate our true intentions. Even though we have these classes every week, they are never the same twice. Come join us for a truly unique experience.
Male Movement Classes
"You put a bunch of men together and the result is powerful." Fanchon is looking forward to putting together an all-male class to explore physical shifts of energy taking testosterone into glory. Fanchon will use her choreographic skills to create meaning from all the energy in the room!
Dancing with Parkinson's Disease
Teachers trained by David Levanthal, one of Mark Morris' lead dancers, guide a class of individuals with Parkinson's Disease and their caretakers to inspire everyone with the art of dance and elevated movement. Beauty, expressivity, form, music, and dance all come together to inspire, liberate, and ignite participants.
Choreography Collective
How does one create a flash mob? How to grow an inspired idea into a full-fledged event? In its infant stage, the Choreography Collective will be a collaborative environment in which you develop the tools to create a committed choreographic expression of your truths to the world.

Stacy Sims, a writer and founder of the True Body Project, had this to say about Fanchon's class:
This morning the brilliant Fanchon Shur reminded of us our primordial, cellular bodies and made a roomful of strangers instantly intimate. It is daunting and essential work, her Body Mind Centering practice. I have known about Fanchon's work forever but have never experienced it until today. She is a luminous human and a real treasure for this community. Get on it and spend some time in her world.
